LIFT’s Operation Next advanced manufacturing certification program is being made available to members of the Michigan National Guard and Reserve at the institute’s facility in Corktown. LIFT hosts the Guard and Reserve members at its Learning Lab and guides them through their educational experience in either CNC Operations, Welding, or Industrial Technology Maintenance to the attainment of nationally portable and industry- recognized credentials from either the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) or the American Welding Society (AWS).

Hybrid Curriculum. Typically, the coursework can be completed within 6 months.
Operation Next is an official Department of Defense Skillbridge MOU. Active Duty personnel that meet the criteria for Skillbridge eligibility may apply for the Skillbridge program.

ADMISSION

Eligible participants WILL NOT have any out of pocket expenses for the training program. Tuition and fees for this program are paid for through a Department of Defense grant.
