Hopkinsville Community College is dedicated to supporting military and veteran students, as well as their family members. We recognize the unique experiences that come with serving in the armed forces. We are proud to partner with LIFT to provide the Operation Next program, to teach skills you need to be successful in welding jobs. The training options we provide offer great flexibility and can lead to jobs with salaries ranging from $30,010 to $63,660 (US Bureau of Labor Statistics). Our staff is also available to help you create a resume and make connections with potential employers.

Programs

Accelerated Welding

Features

HCC’s accelerated welding program is offered in two six-week sessions and one three-week session to offer students more start date options and give them the flexibility to complete training on the welding processes that interest them the most. The program features a hybrid learning model with American Welding Society competencies taught online and reinforced with hands-on training in HCC’s newly-renovated welding lab.

CREDENTIALS

Hopkinsville Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Students who successfully complete accelerated welding sessions earn academic certificates and American Welding Society certifications.

ADMISSION

Six-week sessions are $4,995 and three-week sessions are $2,995. Most soldiers use their VA benefits to pay for classes. Operation Next does provide funding which will cover the tuition for up to two students per session. These waivers are awarded based on need and order of acceptance into the program.
